Via Announces Two New Hires

Boulder, CO – Via is pleased to announce the hiring of two new employees, Bill Patterson as director of finance and Liane Shaffer as volunteer driver program coordinator, a new position at Via.

Patterson, formerly the principal of B2B Direct in Niwot for 12 years, comes to Via with a strong background in financial management in the manufacturing, distribution, and service sectors.  Prior to B2B, a technology dealership providing office and IT supplies and equipment, Patterson was the division president director of marketing for Turbon International / The Turbon Group for 2 years and president/CFO of Golden Imaging for 17 years. Patterson graduated with a bachelor in environmental design and MBA from the University of Colorado. Additionally, he is on the board of directors for Colorado Chautauqua Association and National Historic Landmark.

Shaffers’s career has been in Colorado medical centers and municipalities. She will be launching Via’s new volunteer driver program – as a way to increase rides for the growing older adult population in Boulder County. Shaffer’s work began in rehabilitation for physical, recreational, cardiac and mental health facilities at Presbyterian/ St. Luke’s Medical Center. Shaffer also designed a program to help people with disabilities integrate into Denver recreation centers. She most recently worked in physical rehabilitation and acute patient care at Swedish Medical Center. Additionally, she received her degree at CSU in exercise science and is certified in therapeutic recreation. The volunteer driver program is funded by a two year pilot project grant from Rose Community Foundation.
