Via operates several earned-income contracts that help us achieve our nonprofit mission by providing income that is reinvested in the mission. This social enterprise model, used by many nonprofits, is vital to the effectiveness and sustainability of Via.
As those contracts have expanded so has Via’s need for employees. The organization currently employees 267 people in five counties (primarily Boulder and Denver). And we need to add more.
Via is currently recruiting drivers for four transportation divisions: our mission-based paratransit service, the HOP, Access-a-Ride and Call-n-Ride. We offer full- and part-time positions, flexible schedules and different locations in which to work, including Boulder, Denver, Broomfield and Longmont.
“Most of our drivers work for Via because they are motivated by helping others,” said Tonya Runnels, Via’s director of Human Resources. “For Via’s driving team we are seeking caring, customer-focused candidates who also enjoy driving.”
Important requirements for Via drivers are being able to pass a Department of Transportation physical exam and having a reliable work history with strong attendance and punctuality records.
