The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) – a wide-ranging civil rights law that prohibits discrimination based on disability – turns twenty-five this year. To raise awareness about the ADA on its anniversary, The ADA Legacy Project is bringing the “Road to Freedom“ ADA Bus – a multi-media, mobile education and information exhibit – to multiple locations across the United States. This week, the bus stops here! Join the celebrations, learn more about this important Civil Rights legislation and add your voice – at the Center for People with Disabilities, (CPWD), offices in Longmont and Boulder:

- A “Because of the ADA . . .” quilt – add your signature to thousands of others, commemorating your participation in the tour
- The history of self advocacy and importance of self-determination
- Displays and handouts on The ADA Legacy Project and the ADA, specifically disability history, milestones and education of future generations of advocates
- At the Boulder location: Consumer Testimonials – Light Lunch – Speakers
