You did it! Colorado Gives Day a Big Success for Via

Thumbs to the generous donors who helped Via exceed its Colorado Gives Day goal! Through their online donations on Dec. 9, 167 donors raised $20,285 to provide transportation options to seniors and people with disabilities. The donors also helped Via qualify for a portion of the $1 million incentive fund from Community First Foundation and FirstBank.

“As the number of people seeking Via’s assistance continues to grow, it is heartwarming to receive increased support from the community to provide much-needed services. We’re excited to be a part of this state-wide giving effort again this year and grateful for each donor’s gift,” Lenna Kottke, executive director, said.

Via was one of 1,677 nonprofit organizations receiving donations during the fifth Colorado Gives Day. According to Community First Foundation, who along with FirstBank presents the day, more than $26.2 million was raised on December 9 surpassing last year’s $20.9 million total. A record of 107,862 donations were made, a jump from last year’s total of 88,571.

Offering service in 19 communities in five Colorado counties, Via provides on-demand transportation, individual and group travel training as well as information and referral about mobility options, including locally available public transit.
